Originally writing for a textbook, the client wanted a clean, readable website focused on teaching. Using typography and javascript, the design delivers a textbook experience while allowing flexibility for students.

Pi

jQuery, Processing.js

Written in Processing.js, Pi draws regular polygons of increasing sides inside a square, and uses the ratio of their areas to estimate the number pi. Pi completes a polygon every minute so it also works as a clock, and it includes a countdown to Pi Approximation Second (March 14th, 1:59:26PM). Warning: takes about 200 minutes to get close.
